By using MarginAI, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MarginAI ("the Service"), operated by MarginAI ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

MarginAI is a SaaS platform that provides AI API cost monitoring, per-client cost attribution, margin tracking, and reporting tools for agencies and businesses using large language model APIs.

3. Account Registration

To use MarginAI you must create an account. You agree to:

Provide accurate and complete information
Keep your login credentials secure
Be responsible for all activity under your account
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

4. Subscriptions and Billing

MarginAI offers paid subscription plans billed monthly. All subscriptions include a 7-day free trial. After the trial period, your payment method will be charged automatically.

Starter: $29/month — up to 3 clients
Agency: $79/month — up to 20 clients
Scale: $199/month — unlimited clients

Prices are in USD and may change with 30 days notice. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
Attempt to reverse engineer or copy the Service
Use the Service to transmit harmful or malicious content
Share your account credentials with third parties
Exceed your plan's request limits in a way that degrades service for others

6. API Proxy Usage

MarginAI operates as a proxy between your code and third-party LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.). You are responsible for:

Complying with the terms of service of any LLM provider you use
Keeping your LLM API keys secure
All costs incurred with LLM providers through your use of our proxy

We do not store your LLM API keys beyond the duration of a single request.

7. Data and Privacy

We collect and store request metadata (token counts, costs, timestamps, model names) to provide the Service. We do not store the content of your prompts or LLM responses. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

8. Uptime and Service Availability

We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for any losses caused by service downtime or interruptions.

9. Intellectual Property

MarginAI and all its content, features, and functionality are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without written permission.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may cancel your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days then permanently deleted.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MarginAI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of revenue, data, or business opportunities.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing legal action.

Privacy Policy

We take your privacy seriously. We collect only what we need to run the service and never sell your data.

API request metadata: model name, token counts, cost, latency, timestamp
Client identifiers you assign to requests

What We Do NOT Collect

The content of your prompts or LLM responses
Your LLM API keys (passed through in memory only)
Personal data of your end users or clients

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and improve the Service
To process billing and send receipts
To send service-related emails (alerts, trial reminders)
To display cost and margin data in your dashboard
To respond to support requests

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) hosted on secure cloud infrastructure. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel only.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties except:

Paddle — payment processing
Supabase — database hosting
Render — application hosting
Legal requirements — if required by law

5. Cookies

We use minimal cookies necessary for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your account, your data is retained for 30 days then permanently deleted. You may request immediate deletion by emailing us.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Export your data in a machine-readable format
Withdraw consent at any time

8. Children's Privacy

MarginAI is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Refund Policy

We offer a 7-day free trial on all plans. If you're not satisfied within 14 days of your first charge, we'll refund you — no questions asked.

1. Free Trial

All MarginAI plans include a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. You may cancel at any time during the trial without being charged.

2. 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

If you are not satisfied with MarginAI after your trial ends and you are charged for the first time, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your first charge. No questions asked.

To request a refund, email billing@aimargin.net with your account email and we will process your refund within 5 business days.

3. Subsequent Billing Periods

After the initial 14-day guarantee period, we do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel your subscription, you will continue to have access to the Service until the end of your current billing period.

4. Exceptions

We may issue refunds at our discretion in the following cases:

Significant service outages affecting your usage
Billing errors on our part
Duplicate charges

5. How to Cancel

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard under Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
